Submerse yourself in the nautical world of Dartmouth aboard the Christie Belle or Hercule. Dartmouth is famous for the Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth Regatta and both Kingswear and Dartmouth Castles. Stop for a spot of lunch or look around and shop in one of Devon’s most unique riverside towns. Ferries sail to and fro every hour – some direct and some via Greenway Quay just opposite. If visiting Dartmouth from Dittisham and miss the direct boat you can catch one from Greenway, we will even bring you across the river complimentary to catch it. You can book this service online or ring the bell outside The Ferry Boat Inn next to the Dittisham Pontoon to summon us.

The quaint village of Dittisham has some of the river’s most wonderful views and is only a 30 minute cruise away from Dartmouth. Enjoy a delicious pub lunch at the Ferry Boat Inn or visit the Anchorstone Café for some local fresh sea food or even hire a boat to explore the river. Link with many walks including the Dart Valley Trail, Greenway Walk and others. On the opposite side of the river at Greenway majestically stands Greenway House owned by the National Trust but previously owned by the Queen of Crime herself the late Dame Agatha Christie – a visit is a must to explore the Christie family collection or the interesting 2700 species of trees and wooded plants.
Dittisham is the local epicentre for crabbing! Don’t forget the crab lines and the children too!
You can book this service online or from our booking office in the centre of Dartmouth opposite Boots the Chemist.
